The Foundation Will Not Fund
-
Organizations or programs not in full accord with the Magisterium of the Roman Catholic Church.
-
Large, national or international public charities with substantial existing budgets (absent special collaborative circumstances).
-
General operating deficits or unrestricted operating expenses without a clearly defined project or measurable impact.
-
Individuals (including personal financial assistance, hardship grants, or direct aid to private persons).
-
Individual scholarships, tuition assistance, or sponsorships (unless part of a structured institutional partnership).
-
Endowments without a defined strategic purpose or governance participation, unless specifically invited.
-
Capital campaigns in which the Foundation lacks a meaningful local presence, personal or institutional relationship, or clear opportunity for mission impact—such as those supporting Catholic schools, churches, convents, monasteries, cathedrals, and seminaries—are not funded, as the Foundation upholds the principle of subsidiarity and believes these efforts are best sustained through the commitment and stewardship of the local lay faithful.
-
Events, galas, or sponsorship tables where support is primarily promotional in nature.
-
Organizations whose primary mission is not religious, educational, or aligned with the Foundation’s Catholic priorities.
-
Retroactive funding for projects or expenses already incurred.
